What Is an Aura | How Your Aura Impacts Your Energy Health

You may have heard the term aura tossed around in spiritual or holistic circles, but wonder what it actually means. It impacts your physical, emotional, and energetic well-being; and in this article I will clarify the common misconceptions so you will understand what your aura is, and how it supports your life. What Is an Aura?

Your aura, also called your auric field or auric layer, is your personal energy field. It extends roughly three feet out from your body in every direction, forming an invisible but vital part of your energetic anatomy. You can think of it as your energetic shield and communication matrix, constantly interacting with the world around you.

Just like everything in the universe, your body is made of energy. This energy flows continuously in and out of you and your aura plays a critical role in managing this flow of energy.

What Your Aura Does

The aura is a complex web of energy that helps to channel information from the outer world, through to your senses. Every bit of sensory data, including what we receive through what is known as our sixth sense, flows through the aura before it reaches us.

The aura also acts as a filter against toxins. While it cannot possibly filter everything toxic in our current modern environments, it plays an important role in reducing the impact of harmful energy and environmental toxins.

How Emotions Affect Your Aura

Emotions are energy, and ideally, they dissipate shortly after we experience them. When we experience one of the heavier, dense low frequency emotions such as hate, anger or grief, they do not always dissipate and can linger in our aura.

These trapped emotions will weigh you down, block the healthy flow of energy, and can even contribute to emotional illness over time. That is why it is helpful to have trapped emotions diffused regularly, by an energy master. It is quick to do and the natural healthy flow of energy through your aura will be immediately restored.

Aura Myths Debunked

There are a few persistent mistruths about the aura that we should clarify:

1. You are born with a strong or weak aura.

This is false. Everyone is born with a healthy, strong aura. It may change over the course of your life, depending on illness or toxicity. When the energy flow is strong, your aura is as well. When it is blocked by trapped emotions or you take on too many toxins, your energy field weakens. This is something that can be healed, however.

2. Some people have bigger auras than others.

This is another common misunderstanding. In a healthy state, most people have similarly sized auric fields. If someone’s aura appears smaller or contracted, it is likely due to illness.

Understanding your aura and how it functions can drastically improve your well-being. It explains why you may feel drained after certain interactions or energized by others. It offers insight into how your emotions and environment influence your physical health. And most importantly, it is an important area to monitor so that you can take control of your energy ensuring you stay in balance and flow.
